Ever wondered what it's like to be able to play the guitar? Well you know have the opportunity to find out! The Garth Olwg Lifelong Learning Centre will be starting a 7 x week (2hr lesson time) beginner's guitar tuition course from Wed. 14th September | 6.30pm - 8.30pm.
You don't have to have any experience of playing the guitar as the course will start right from the very begining dealing with rhythm, timing, technique, chords, reading chord charts, plectrum & single string techinque and so much more. We will seek to de-mystify the jargon that confuses so many non-musicians and explain harmony, chord construction, triads, intervals, scales, arpeggios etc, without getting in too deep.
The cost of the 14 hour course will be £70 and you will need to bring your own guitar and plectrum, but all course notes will be supplied on paper. To get the most of this incredibe value-for-money course, you would be expected to practice for 10-15 minutes as day. We will learn songs as well as well known guitar 'riffs' and create a platform for self-development after the course.
The course will be delivered by experienced guitar tutor Dave Beese. Don't forget to bring your enthusiasm and a sense of humour!
