 Guitar Lessons in Cardiff

If you’re looking for professional adult or children's guitar lessons in the Cardiff area, then I may be able to help you. As an experienced guitar teacher, I offer both electric and acoustic tuition to students from all over the Cardiff region.

I live in Taff’s Well which is one of the most easily accessible places in South Wales and just 6.5 miles from Cardiff city centre. The village is the gateway to the valleys heading north and can be found on the most northern edge of Cardiff adjacent to Tongwynlais.

Realising your Potential

Not everyone has the ambition to play under the bright lights of Cardiff's many music venues, but that shouldn't stop us from being the best we can be. Practising the rudiments or rhythm, timing, technique, ear training, chords and basic theory will enable you to begin the journey to becoming a very competent guitarist. It only takes 10-15 minutes (every day to build muscle-memory) to start with and you will begin to see results in weeks.

Getting Here

Regular trains and buses stop at Taff's Well and there’s plenty of parking space outside my home. The area is extremely accessible with a journey of under 20 minutes to Cardiff city centre. Many of my guitar students are from the Cardiff suburbs such as Whitchurch, Llandaff, Rhiwbina, Radyr, Fairwater, Ely etc. and if you live in any of the following areas, you’re within touching distance of reaching me:

Can I Travel to your home to Teach?

Yes, I can travel to deliver guitar lessons in the Cardiff area, but the cost will depend on travelling times, petrol and my diary commitments. It would be far preferential to visit me as I have all the equipment and printing facilities for all my self-designed lesson sheets.

What they say...

“I saw Dave's advert on a local Facebook page for a 'free intro guitar course'. I contacted Dave and within a very short time, he came back to me with an invitation to the next course. After attending the course, I was so impressed with his manner and professionalism that I now have one-to-one lessons with him.

I'm 57 and thought it may be too late in life for me to learn guitar, but how wrong I was, Dave makes every lesson interesting and of course challenging without making it too difficult. I mentioned to a friend who plays semi-professionally that I am a student of Dave and his reply was "so am I!”
